Dear Delegates
On behalf of the Secretariat of the TAL Model United Nations conference, it is a pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd edition of TALMUN, a dynamic and inclusive environment where delegates can engage in diplomacy, negotiation, and constructive dialogue while addressing some of the most complex global challenges.
Each year, our conference brings together hundreds of delegates from many different cities. Throughout the sessions, participants are encouraged to exchange ideas, think critically, and collaborate in an academic setting. We believe that open discussion, cooperation, and mutual understanding are essential skills for today’s global citizens, and our goal is to foster these values in every committee.
Our conference offers a diverse range of committees; from General Assemblies to specialized and crisis committees, each committee is structured to foster interest and ambition in global issues and promote diplomacy, problem-solving, and leadership. For delegates who are new to Model United Nations, our study guides serve as an introduction to the agenda items and committee procedures; however, effective participation requires independent research and active engagement throughout the conference.
Our Chairboard members and staff are carefully selected for their commitment to the educational mission of TAL Model United Nations. Thanks to their efforts, each year, delegates leave the conference with valuable experiences and skills gained both inside and outside the committee room, better prepared to contribute to their communities.
On behalf of the entire Secretariat, we look forward to hearing your ideas, witnessing your intellectual curiosity, and sharing a meaningful conference experience together. It is an honour to serve as your Secretary-General.
Warm regards,
Defne Kadam
Secretary-General
TAL Model United Nations 2026
TALMUN is an annual event organized by the students of Tekirdağ Anatolian High School since 2024. The TALMUN Club has actively participated in other Model United Nations conferences within and beyond our city since 2022, both as delegates and as team members. Our aim is to provide the highest-quality MUN experience — academically and organizationally.
Building on the knowledge and experience gained from our previous conferences, TALMUN’24 and TALMUN’25, which we successfully hosted, we received over 650 applications not only from Tekirdağ but also from across the Marmara Region, including Edirne, Çanakkale, Kırklareli, Balıkesir, and İstanbul. We have established multiple committees and worked with a large team on the campus of Namık Kemal University.
